This Electrolux ICON™ PureAdvantage™ water filter reduces cysts, particulates (Class I), turbidity, aesthetic chlorine taste and odor, lead, mercury, some herbicides 2 (4-D, alachlor, and atrazine), and some pesticides (lindane and toxaphene). It fits all Electrolux ICON™ PureAdvantage™ refrigerator models manufactured by Electrolux. It has a flow rate of .5 gpm, and a capacity of 400 gallons. You should replace this filter every 6-9 months, or every 400 gallons, whichever comes first. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after use of the system. Systems certified for cyst reduction may be used on disinfected waters that may contain filterable cysts.
